Industry leading professional liability firm is looking for their First In-House Actuary to play a vital role as a trusted resource in their quest for continued growth and success. Depending on experience, this could be a position for anyone from a near-ACAS to a FCAS. Our client is the “go-to” carrier for their profession and they need an Actuary in house to ensure that they maintain their dominant position by conducting pricing and other ad-hoc studies for various stakeholders within the company, as well as presenting results to board members and other executives. Professional liability experience is a huge plus, but a background in other long-tail lines outside of property would be considered. The ideal candidate will have the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from claims data, run scenarios, and conduct reserve analyses. This is an excellent opportunity to become a mission critical player at a well-established carrier that is poised for continued success. Compensation will be commensurate with the importance of this key hire. (#48732)
Growing, well-respected Commercial Lines carrier is looking for an ACAS or near ACAS with a dynamic, consultative approach to actuarial work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good communication skills to get exposure to all facets of the business and make an immediate and visible impact. This individual will be primarily focused on reserving, but will frequently collaborate with executives and teammates to construct meaningful answers to business problems using analytics. Ratemaking skills are also preferred. Workers Comp experience is an asset, but is not required. Predictive modeling would be a major asset, as our client is invested in the growth of their analytic capabilities. Excellent community with something for everyone and an organization that values a positive work/life balance. Compensation goes up to 140k. (#48399)
