Given the many components of the profession, young actuaries often seek mentorship and find this to be a helpful resource throughout their career. With the evolution of technology and social media, actuaries are also finding new & exciting ways to learn from their peers – ranging from video blogs to actuarial reviews.

As an ever-emerging profession, it is essential to have different platforms and avenues of learning for actuaries. In that same spirit, starting next month, our blog will feature interviews with actuaries & analytical professionals. In these posts we will discuss different topics & personal stories that have brought our interviewees to where they are today. We hope this will be a great resource to learn & discover the many fruits bared by the profession. Some of the topics we will discuss include; transitioning from actuarial science to data science, insurtech, predictive modeling, and the path to Chief Actuary.
