DW Simpson is happy to introduce Brad Swenby, our new Lead Recruiter. Brad is an experienced recruiting professional with a demonstrated history of success in full-cycle recruiting, team building, public speaking, and marketing and we are thrilled to have him join the team.
What do you like about recruiting?
I love talking to people, making connections, and being an advocate for them throughout their careers and lives. During my career, I have always enjoyed staying in contact with people, watching them grow in their professions and personal lives and, if needed, offer my support.
One of my biggest strengths is providing leadership with humility. I enjoy being a go-to person with a growth mindset, but also know when to rely on experts before making a decision.
What led you to your role at DW Simpson?
I’ve been recruiting for a while now in a variety of industries, having learned new skill sets along the way. Utilizing that experience, connecting through LinkedIn, and building a good rapport with everyone that I spoke with throughout the interview process helped me to join the DWS team.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
Soccer! I enjoy playing, watching, and introducing people to the sport. It has given me a lot throughout my life and continues to bring me joy as a coach, player, and fan.
Adventure racing. A sport I was recently introduced to, combining map-reading, trekking through the woods, roads, and waters. A great way to get outdoors, try something new, see somewhere new, meet new people, and feed my (and my partner’s) competitive spirit. As a family, we love going to the zoo, visiting museums, playing music, and backyard BBQs with friends. When I can find some downtime, I enjoy learning piano, playing guitar, reading mystery novels, and experimenting in the kitchen.
What do you like about working at DW Simpson?
The people! In my short time here, everyone has been very willing and able to go the extra mile to make sure I can become successful. The team members here are intelligent and passionate about what they do and it shows! I’m very happy to be a member of the team and look forward to our return to the office to be around all these wonderful people.
