Actuarial Associate, Health (Florida #49014)



Growing reinsurance company in the Southeast has a great opportunity for an ASA, who is actively seeking a FSA designation and has at least 4 years of actuarial experience. Strong communication, proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, and programming knowledge in R, VBA is required. Northeast Health company is seeking an ASA with 5+ years of actuarial experience and 2 or more years of management experience/ or experience leading teams/projects of various size and complexity. Candidate should be in pursuit of FSA designation and possess strong supervisory, communication, organization and project management skills. Ideally, this individual would have in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: premium rate calculations, required reserves, plan design, trend analysis, rate table construction, actuarial research, or systems development. This is a great opportunity for a student actuary no longer pursuing exams or a data scientist with a strong technical background (in R, SQL, Power BI, and Excel). A background working with some combination of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial paid claims data sets is required. Candidate must be a highly motivated team player, possess strong communication, and advanced analytics. Data mining, statistical analysis, and data transformation experience desired. Candidate will oversee the development of MA bids and Part D bids in the region. National banking and insurance provider is in search for an ASA or FSA with at least 3 years’ experience and strong product & industry knowledge. This individual will be developing the analytical platform, constructing various actuarial assumptions, and managing the creation of experience studies across various product lines. This individual should possess comprehensive knowledge of Data warehousing, data analysis and Business Intelligence/Data mining tools. Strong proficiency in SQL ,Access, Visual Basic and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required. Strong communication, the ability to work independently and maintain knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations related to health care delivery systems are ideal.
