The ideal candidate would have a background in reinsurance, building financial models, and possess mortgage experience. Advanced Excel and SQL required. This individual should be able to employ and understand standard concepts, practices, regulations, and laws within the insurance and actuarial fields. The ideal candidate would possess proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, and have experience working with various data architectures. Candidate must be able to build strong relationships both internally & externally, be a strong leader, and have deep knowledge of the market/industry. This individual must possess a strong business background as well as the ability to negotiate and create partnerships with all levels of management. Candidate must be able to manage, develop and motivate an actuarial staff. Responsibilities include pricing new Life products, managing portfolio profitability and driving enhancements to the pricing analytical framework. Florida health provider is seeking a student actuary with 1 or 2 years of relevant health experience including working with risk models. This candidate should have at least 1 or exams completed and have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to communicate effectively, handle multiple tasks within time constraints, and possess advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Product Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Business Objects. Michigan based insurer has a great opportunity for a student actuary with 4 or more actuarial exams completed and a minimum of 3 or more years of experience in an actuarial environment. The ideal candidate would be able to calculate reserves for new or existing products, possess advanced Excel skills, and performing research and statistical analyses to complete assignments.
