Healthcare Economics Specialist (Florida #48937)

Homecare service provider in the Southeast is seeking a Healthcare Economics Specialist with 2-4 years of experience working as an analyst in the health care industry with medical claims, membership and provider data. This is a great opportunity for a student actuary no longer pursuing exams or a data scientist with a strong technical background (in R, SQL, Power BI, and Excel). A background working with some combination of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial paid claims data sets is required. Candidate must be a highly motivated team player, possess strong communication, and advanced analytics. Data mining, statistical analysis, and data transformation experience desired. West coast healthcare provider has a great opportunity for an ASA or FSA with 8 years of health actuarial experience, including 2+ years of solid Medicare Advantage experience. Candidate will oversee the development of MA bids and Part D bids in the region. The ideal individual would have a management/supervisory background, strong technical, communication, collaboration and project management skills. The ideal individual will have a background in Medicare pricing or ACA pricing, knowledge of Medicare bid processes and regulations as well as knowledge of premium rate development methodologies and techniques. Strong analytical and communication skills are required. Must be highly motivated and proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Leading healthcare provider seeks a self-motivated student actuary with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Exposure to SAS, SQL, Microsoft Access, PowerPoint preferred. Candidate must be detail orientated and possess the ability to work well independently and in teams. Health experience background a plus, including pricing, forecasting, and valuation. Periodic travel is required, Will consider entry only for Northeast candidates with internships in the Health sector and a GPA of 3.5 or higher. (#48739)
