Barclay joined DW Simpson in 2000. For the past seven years, he has led a team that works with Actuaries at all levels of experience, from recent graduates up to Chief Actuaries and Senior Consultants.

Barclay attends various meetings/seminars throughout the year to stay current on industry trends. At such events he has participated as a presenter and moderator of sessions that include, "Skills Needed to Advance the Corporate Ladder," "Non-Traditional Roles for Actuaries," "50,000 Mile Career Check-up," and, "How to Prepare, Interview and Land Your First Actuarial Job."

Additionally, Barclay coordinates his DW Simpson colleagues' attendance at CAS and SOA conferences as well as local, regional, and national Actuarial club events.

Prior to DW Simpson, Barclay was a Media Planner at a Chicago-based advertising agency. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Marketing from Western Illinois University.
