Dave re-joined DW Simpson Global Actuarial Recruitment in 2007 as Director - Retained Search Services after five years in an actuarial recruiting capacity for an insurance company and consulting firm. In his current role with DW Simpson, Dave leads the recruiting and client management processes for all of DW Simpson's retained searches/clients.

Dave originally joined DW Simpson in 1996 as a Recruiter. He spent six years working with individuals at all levels and within all actuarial disciplines as well as those working in more non-traditional roles. Dave played a key role in managing and building relationships with many of DW Simpson’s clients.

In 2002, Dave joined CNA in Chicago as a Recruiting Consultant specializing in actuarial hiring. After three years with CNA, Dave joined Ernst & Young as its Experienced Hire Recruiter for the Life & Health and Property & Casualty National Actuarial Practice. Prior to the recruiting profession, Dave worked for three years as a Personal and Commercial Account Manager with The First National Bank of Chicago. He also worked in business development with the bank and served as Training Coordinator for the Hancock Center Branch.

Dave earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 1992 from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana he also earned a minor in Psychology.

Dave serves as DW Simpson’s representative on the Society of Actuaries(SOA) Employers Advisory Council, as well as the International Association of Black Actuaries (IABA) Corporate Advisory Council. Additionally, his article, Get Your Offers Accepted, was published in the Actuary of the Future.

Outside the office, Dave enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
